Overview

This 50-minute lesson plan guides sixth-grade students to use the Oregon CIS Jr. platform to discover their strengths, positive qualities, talents and interests for career exploration, combining group activities and independent digital tasks.

Learning Objectives

Students will be able to:

  • Produce a list of their strengths, positive qualities, talents and interests.

  • Identify potential careers based on their qualities by reviewing a list of careers and matching them to their own strengths.

  • Create their “Who Am I” statement by entering their strengths, positive qualities, talents and interests into the website.
